Cumberland Island, April 2019

Melody played a Melody!! A friend posted today about the trends in musical instruments and our culture… he’s right that a real piano without a demo key is becoming rare. It reminded me that I never shared this video of Melody. They asked who wanted to play the near 200 year old piano at “Carnegie Hall”… the library in Plum Orchard Mansion, the former home of Andrew Carnegie on the primitive Cumberland Island, GA. The power was out due to a storm on our visit; the light fixtures above include tortoise shell and we were told are even MORE beautiful when illuminated!! But, this girl… she lights up any room she enters!!

Auntie Cheryl, Melody and I had a day trip together to Cumberland Island. The location is amazing, the tour was wonderful and the company was lovely!!!
