Forty years ago… I learned of the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta and could only imagine seeing something so cool.
One long year ago… I was fortunate enough to get to make reservations and plans…
Yesterday, was Day One of a dream that began from reading the Highlights paper we got in school so many years ago.
First I’ve seen more than one hot air balloon in the sky at a time…

I thought I’d just get to SEE balloons; had no idea I’d get to be UNDER two of them!!
This is unbelievable in real life…
It keeps getting better; until a gust of wind unexpectedly began a scramble! It went from glowing to going pretty darn fast!!
There were skydivers that wore (and threw??!) fireworks from there suits!! I’ve never seen or heard anything like that before!!
Fireworks all around… the night ended with a bang!!! There were two fireworks locations at the same time; a nice touch, AIBF!!
This Day One was a good one! 💗
